Wow, what a week

Thank God for 3-day weekends. I'm taking a vacation day tomorrow and Andy and I are driving up to New York to visit his family. It's been a long time coming and we've been meaning to make the trip for quite a while now, so it will be nice to finally get there. It's always a nice trip -- his parents have the coziest house in the Finger Lakes right on Keuka Lake. I can use the relaxation after this week. We've had a lot going on at work and crazy, unrealistic deadlines that you just have to meet. Needless to say, work has been coming home with me. At least I know it's for a good cause -- a lot of our non-profit clients are under budget so we're working a little overtime to get some funds raised before the year ends.

On the house front, we're still looking. We found a great place at the right price and ran around like crazy on Monday and Tuesday trying to get our application together and deposit ready only to find that they still haven't even processed it yet. We checked in today and were told that they have several applications and are waiting to see which one "rises to the top." Apparently these things take a while to "rise." So keep your fingers crossed that it's us. And for those of you who are inclined to do so, your prayers wouldn't hurt either. We really want this place!

I'll check back in after the New York trip. Hope everyone is doing well!

Relaxation vacations like that don't come often enough. Sounds like a beautiful area you're headed to. Ususally, we have to use vacations to get "caught up" in our personal lives, which really isn't a vacation at all.

Just spent a long weekend in a cabin by a lake in Pinetop, AZ. with family and friends myself. While there, the days were long and I felt very relaxed.

I hope yours is the same.
