I was taking pictures off my camera today when I realized what a ridiculous amount of pictures we take of Layla, our dog. For those who have met her, even if you barely lived through it, you'll agree that she's absurd amounts of cute. When she was a puppy, she was so cute it was borderline painful, seriously, look at that picture. It's fortunate for her that she is this cute because otherwise we would have killed her -- at least a dozen times by now.
Unfortunately for poor Layla, she despises having her picture taken - observe picture 2. Every now and then she'll ham it up for the camera, but mostly she just tolerates it or shuts her eyes as soon as we bring out the camera.
She's doing great with the move. She loves the area we're in. There are dogs everywhere here. Sometimes when I take her out I feel like I'm in a movie about suburbia. It's funny. People walking everywhere following their dogs around with baggies. And everyone is super nice and stops to chat while the dogs play. Samantha, Josie, Hannah -- these are Layla's favorites.
It's funny because there's people who I've interacted with on a near daily basis and never once did the human's name come up, but I can tell you the dog's name, how long they've had it, who their vet is and probably at least half a dozen other bits of random information. But never the person's name. Then after a while, it's awkward to ask. But I'm working on changing the whole dog-human interaction. I'm revolutionizing suburbia. I'll let you know how it goes :)
Yes, I just wrote a blog about my dog. And I'm OK with that.

Angie,
I've never met your dog. She is too cute...and big!!! How does she and snowball get along?
Not so good actually. She loves him, but he is definitely not a fan.
My dog is better than your dog!
P.S. I don't like your dog.
P.S.S. Sorry.
