We drove up to New York on Friday to visit the MacAlpine clan. It was a beautiful drive -- through farmlands and mountains and especially with all the leaves turning. We spent the first night with Andy's sister and her family. We hadn't seen the kids in nearly two years and wow, they grew up fast! We played like crazy Friday and a good bit of the morning on Saturday. I love getting kids all rowdy for their parents and then moving on to my next site (sorry Chuck and Carrie). I guess I'll get mine when I have kids.

This is me with Phoebe, right, and Ellie. Phoebe's 5 and Ellie just turned 3 a little over a week ago. Too cute!
Next we drove up to Keuka Lake where Andy's parents live. Saturday was Andy's dad's birthday, so we had a family dinner and a nice celebration. Andy's brother and his family came up for that, so we finally got to meet Eddie, who turned 1 this summer, and we got to see Abby again. (Yep, Phoebe, Ellie, Abby, Eddie ... plus on my side there's a Stevi and a Chloe ... try keeping up with that. The only easy one is Devin - my nephew. Don't worry, Andy and I will be naming our children names that end in consonants to avoid any further confusion.)
That's Abby and Eddie. Abby's 3 and Eddie's 1. And guess what? Mom has twins on the way! That's right, come springtime they'll have 4 kids under 4 years old. Anybody got a diaper connection?

Mom and Dad MacAlpine's Keuka Lake place. It's cozy and those windows on the side overlook the lake. I'll post more pictures next. Waking up with the sun coming up over the lake is amazing - and when there's snow on the ground, it makes for a picturesque Christmas!
