Thank you winter!

We got snow! We got snow! It snowed for about 5 hours and brought us a few inches. Not enough to stick around for long but enough to enjoy and feel like winter finally arrived.

This is the view from our back porch right after it started.

I took Layla out to play in it. It was the first time she'd ever seen snow and it was crazy cute. She just ran around at first and tried to eat as much as she possibly could. For every paw print she left, she also left a giant tongue impression.

At one point it was coming down pretty hard and pelting her in the face. She looked up at the sky, and I could only imagine she was thinking "Oh my God, this stuff is actually falling from the sky right now! I have so much to eat!" She started chomping at the air and when that didn't do the trick, she started jumping straight up while biting. I guess she needed a better angle. At any rate, it was hilarious.

Layla frolicking in the snow!
There's no more snow in the forecast as of right now, but at least it feels like winter finally. I'm still hoping for a good, solid snowstorm that brings enough snow to stick around for a few days and play in. I know, I'm like a kid when it comes to snow. Cut me some slack, I grew up in the South :-)
