Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Look at me -- two days in a row of blogging. I know the dancing leprachaun is a bit much, but what can you do.

Andy and I are going to enjoy some traditional Irish fare tonight. He's making corned beef and cabbage with Guinness. He'll be having more Guinness with dinner, but I'm not a fan, so I'll be having a little Smithwicks instead. Good times.

We're even going to enjoy some traditional Irish Soda bread with our dinner. I hit this little bakery down the street ... and all I can say is WOW. The bread was so fresh, it was still too hot to bag. Plus they keep loaves of all the breads of the day out so you can try before you buy -- and they give you full slices, not just a taste. So I tried the coconut cake bread and it was so good I decided to splurge a little and get some. But they had sold out of it ... so she bagged up the sample loaf, which was almost a full loaf, and gave it to me for free! Apparently that's their policy. Needless to say, I was impressed. I've said it before, but it warrants saying again, I love free stuff. I also love places that have good customer service policies.

Anyway, you're probably thinking "enough about this bread business", so I'll move on. After dinner we're capping the night at a little local Irish pub on the waterfront. They're supposed to have a live band, hopefully playing Irish songs.

So that's about it. I'll let you know how the dinner turns out.
