Happy belated Thanksgiving. Hope everyone enjoyed all the festivities and trimmings. I've been waiting to post until I could get some pictures up from our trip, but seeing as how I'm having camera issues and my friends have not yet shared their photos (HINT), I'm going without. I'll share them as soon as I can.
We had a nice holiday down in Georgia. Weather was great and the food was even better. We went to the Macy's Christmas Tree lighting on Thanksgiving night with Muffin and Sean. They moved the stage layout again this year -- but this time for the better. It was a nice show and festive as always. It's kind of a tradition -- moreso Muffin and Sean's than ours, but we've hit quite a few. Those two have been going for about 10 years now, the first time being way back when they first started dating and when it was the Rich's Great Tree. I was there for that one and then missed a few ... or maybe several ... in between. Anyway, it's a good time.
The day after Thanksgiving is another Muffin and Sean tradition that we've joined in on -- Turkey Night. To enter the party you must take a shot of Wild Turkey, then you are free to drink as you wish. It used to always be the day before Thanksgiving, but I gotta say, I'm a fan of the day after instead. It's rough getting up early to put a turkey in the oven when you've had a little too much "turkey" the night before. This year's was a good one as was the karaoke. And it turns out there's a few songs I don't completely stink at. That's right, I rocked "Love Shack" and completely carried Andy on that duet. But to be fair he carried me on a Tim McGraw/Faith Hill song. At least this time there's no video evidence.
We left Saturday afternoon and made it back to Annapolis safe and sound and sans speeding ticket. Layla was very happy to get out of doggie jail and be back with her people. Oliver was reluctant to give up the free reign of the house he'd been enjoying and was even sader to see Layla come home Sunday. I think he believed in his heart that this time she was gone for good. Such is life.
Well, that about wraps up the Thanksgiving holiday vacation. I'll post pics later.

Glad to hear that you had a good trip, and sorry to read about your speeding ticket. You should have tried tears!
