Top of the World (or maybe just Baltimore)

Yesterday, Andy and I went to the Baltimore Orioles/Diamondbacks game and left early so we could spend some time at the Inner Harbor. For those who don't know what that is, it's one of the few places in Baltimore where you can actually enjoy the beauty of the Chesapeake and not have to spend too much time fearing for your life.

We walked around for a while, taking in everything and making note of what we wanted to come back for later when we had more time.

Me and Andy at the Inner Harbor.

That cool, odd-shaped building is the aqarium.

We strolled by the Baltimore World Trade Center and noticed they had one of those touristy observation decks. They call it The Top of the World. We're total suckers for those, so we went up. Pretty cool. There were gorgeous views of the Bay, too. We didn't realize until then how big Baltimore is -- and that it's actually a very pretty city (but no less scary).

This is a view just past the aquarium of the Hard Rock Cafe .

That's the USS Constellation

My favorite shot of the day -- a view of the Chesapeake.

As for the Orioles game, it was painful. They lost 8-4. That's not the part that was painful, because I'm really not an Orioles fan at all. It just wasn't much of a game. At least the park is really cool though, and they have some pretty decent BBQ.

All in all, a good day :)

Hey, awesome pics! I can't wait to spend sometime there soon.

I guess I should check my own blog more often. I just saw your comment from May 5th. :)

I'm interested to hear more about these friends in the (self?)pub biz.

When you get a chance, shoot me some info. at chaiwriter@adelphia.net

Thanks,

Chuck
