Storm's a brewin'

I think the perfect storm is getting ready to hit me at work. I've come close a few times ... 2 or 3 of my clients needing a bunch of things all at once. But I've never had every single client hit at the same time. It's a comin'.

Things have been slow. I mean slow. In fact, I'm at work right now and I'm writing a blog. That's how slow it's been. I've got about twice the workload of most of the writers at my company. And occasionally, when we're pitching new business, I have even more to do. Right now, I have nothing.

What this means to me is that all of my clients are busy creating work for me to do. Then they'll all hit me at once. Plus, we're in the middle of a few pitch projects. Add to that the fact that I volunteered myself to write some materials for a client that we normally use only freelance writers with banking/commercial experience for (not my forte). The combination of all of this makes for about three times the normal workload of a writer here. And it's coming ...

... so when you don't hear from me for a while, know that I was right. And I was hit by the perfect storm.
