Catching up Part 1

I've got some serious catching up to do again! It's been a busy few months and Owen keeps growing like a weed! He's not talking yet -- a few words here and there -- but he babbles all day long. It's really cute! He had his 15-month check-up last month and all is well. He's on the small side as far as weight goes (15th percentile) but he's pretty average for height (56th percentile). If I could get him to eat anything except gold fish and graham crackers, maybe we'd get a little meat on his bones!

Owen is a ridiculously picky eater. If he had his way he'd still be eating jarred baby food. As it is all we can get him to eat regularly is mac and cheese with carrots, yogurt, oatmeal, and cottage cheese. Not much of a diet!

He adores anything to do with Sesame Street (mostly Elmo) and loves to read, stack and play with Mommy's computer and cell phone. He'll climb anything, and he loves dogs!

My son the climber!

In late October, right around Halloween time, Owen graduated from his baby room at daycare and on to the toddler room. What a transition! I can't believe how fast he is growing up.

And since I already mentioned Halloween, I guess I'll finish the first catch-up blog with Halloween. This year we dressed Owen up as Pooh Bear and did a test run with trick-or-treating. He's quite the shy little guy so we thought it might be difficult for him, but he had a blast. We just hit a few houses immediately by us. He walked right up to the door with us and held his little candy bucket.

Owen's last day in his infant room was the day of their Halloween party.

Trick-or-Treating with Daddy

Pooh Bear loves his honey!

After trick-or-treating, he stood outside with us (way past his bedtime) and helped hand out candy. He crashed hard and slept soundly all night -- even let Mommy and Daddy sit out in the front yard with the monitor and drink a pumpkin beer with our neighbors! A great Halloween!

Hey, that Pooh Bear looks like me!
