First snow of the season

On Wednesday we got our first snow of the season. I have to say I'm much more impressed with winter this year. It's already been very cold and we got about three inches of snow -- and it's not even Christmas. Last year I don't think winter showed up until February. So, nicely done Father Winter!

Turns out the snow was actually only the second most exciting thing to happen Wednesday. The first was a fire in my office building that shut down the building for the day. Apparently it happened around 5 a.m. and nobody was allowed in all day. It was just a small electrical fire, but it took them all day and into the night to restore the power. No major damage was done but it did stink pretty bad Thursday and still quite a bit on Friday.

Of course, we still had to work, but at least it was from home, which is always nice.

Anyway, here's the obligatory Layla snow pictures.

Next up, holiday parties abound!

I'm totally jealous...and can't believe that I'm saying that. Normally I'd not be envious of cold weather, but it was 76 today and it's two weeks from Christmas. Bring on the cold weather!!!!
